Freesat is a satellite service provided FREE of any monthly charges and boasts FREE HIGH DEFINITION VIEWING! Launched in Spring 2011, the service now boasts in excess of 140 digital TV and Radio channels
Freesat now has 10HD (High Definition) channels available, BBC ONE HD, BBC TWO HD,BBC FOUR HD, ITV HD, CHANNEL 4 HD, Channel 5HD, CBBC HD, CBeebies HD, RT HD & NHK World HD so you can now enjoy programmes and sports such as The Champions League and Match of the Day in full HD free of charge.
A typical Freesat installation comprises of a 65cm satellite dish installed with wiring to a satellite receiver which is then connected to the TV.
There are a large range of receivers available including Full HD (High Definition) with built in media players.
Another option available is a Saorview / Freesat combo receiver, this will receive all Irish Saorview channels and UK Freesat channels on the one box
